The Challenge
Construction managers and contractors face difficulties tracking multiple project budgets, material invoices, and subcontractor payments in real time. Fragmented paper receipts and delayed communication between job sites and the back office lead to frequent budget overruns and project delays.
The Solution
We developed a mobile-optimized web application using Next.js and Tailwind CSS. By integrating Firebase Firestore and Storage, site managers can upload photos of receipts and materials directly from their mobile devices, triggering automated OCR expense categorizations via Cloud Functions. Real-time cost dashboards allow project owners to track budget allocations versus actual expenditures instantaneously.
